I've also ran it off way below RMS(700RMS) and it still was pretty loud. Dont get me wrong a mag is a great sub, but if you want somethign different that sounds just as good and takes a beating the MX is the way to go. 3k RMS and 2 MX 12s are pretty damn loud.
