Nathan @ XSpower
Can you explain alittle more why their not the same? The less lead you have in the battery the less power the battery can actually provide. All that open space that is not filled with the lead plates to the top of the battery is just wasted space in the battery. The more surface area you have the more power the battery can produce. One example is our D1600 and S1600. The S1600 is for racing applications that want to save weight. The D1600 weighs 48lbs the S1600 weighs 30lbs. The extra weight of the D1600 is made up of lead in the battery, so the S1600 weighs less because it doesn't have as much weight in it. The D1600 is rated at 2400 Max Amps, 675CA, 55AH, and 84 RC. The S1600 is rated at 2000 Max Amps, 500CA, 50 RC, and 25 AH. They are both the same physical size, but because the D1600 has more lead it is much more powerful. so i hear kinetik batteries are pretty good too, what sets XS power apart from them? There are a lot of things that are different in the batteries and there are some videos in the works that will show the differences. The technology used, lead plate sizes, inter-cell connectors (buss bars), and battery pads are just a few differences. what was the second battery in from the right? looks like they could have saved some money on plastic. definitely want to see this. It is a cheaper brand of battery.

ssackett
I would like to see a comparison to the batcap 8400 vs whatever really. The 8400 is multicell battery. A bit different then an AGM batt. When the case is off it just looks like a crap load of D batts wired up. Edited April 10, 2011 by ssackett Quote Team S.S.C.
