Thats a freak incident imo, I had a BTL 12" on 3.4k daily and would bump it for extended periods of time. If you go bigger in the Impala do you mean more numbers oriented, or just more "feeling"?

Guest DC Power Kyle

i think you cliped the hell out of it

and you can see where the coil was rubbing metal on metal with power going threw it can you say short?

x2. Just because the coil is fine doesn't mean that the tinsels were oh so happy about the square signal.. the coil can cool from movement... tinsels...cant.

so this happened at a 2ohm nominal load? seeing as that the sub is d1?

the coils actually metered .7 EACH. 1.4 overall...

lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz.

that little rub spot was most likely from me yanking the cone apart, we also did quite a bit of pushing/ pulling on it while we were checking it out....

Dont hold me to this but i wana say its a missed stich. The leads are stiched in and you have to think its people doing this. So they can short out when its not held down good. I bet you could hit up fi and they will send a recone.

If they would hook me up I would be SUPER grateful....
