Stephen
dom can do a few "special things" and get more out of his 300's.....but he HIGHLY doesnt recommend that if you have 1 or even 2 of these alts. You will be crying like a baby the first time you put two 380 amp alts in your ride and your at the stoplight doing 12.8v because its barely charging. The AT-IDLE of a 300 or bigger is TERRIBLE.....and it gets worse the bigger you go. That is why i have the "smaller" alt in the mix to help out when sitting still. Oh dont trip, at 1k and up its like heaven but my truck idles at 500-600 or something like that so i actually have to be moving to get full power or at least revving the motor some.... I BEGGED dom to make me dual 400 amp alts for the longest time and with money in hand he didnt want to do it just for that reason. With 4 alts, 1 of them helping with the idle, its not so bad..... anyway talk to him about it.....he will break it all down for you I did not know that i was wondering why my voltage droped to about 12.5 when i was idle but as soon as i hit the gas my voltage went almost straight to 14.4. its a 200 amp EA btw Quote you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be.
