well I though you needed a extra battery only if you was running around 1500 watts.

Depends on your stock electrical. but usually stock electrical will not handle 1200watts

Well for every 1000 watts you need 80amps. Your car uses about 40 of that 80 leaving you only 40amps for audio plus what ever the battery does. So I would say, for you to see full potential from the amp. Put a battery in the trunk or upgrade your stock with the biggest xs power thst will fit under the hood. This keeps the risk of you frying everything with low voltage.

and killing the battery.

Pm cj18 he knows all about the amp and could help you more than me. Also read up on electrical. Tells you what you need for the amount of power your running.

I got the dc 1.2k. I have a yellow top up front and a xs d3400 next to the amp. I also have the big 3 done. And my voltage doesn't drop below 13.2 volts. I love my dc 1.2k!!!
