Jmoney2544
Im getting ready to put everything in my car after 2 months of work and i made an appointment up at a local car audio shop and said they would tune my amps. I have 2 Brand new AQ HDC3's That never seen an amp before. Last time i got my amp tuned they put it on full volume and tuned it like that. I'll be puting them in monday, and my appointment is on tuesday so i only have 1 day with them where there not going to be tuned. My question is i know there gonna turn the volume up again to tune it but i know its bad to beat the hell outta your subs when there brand new...supposed to only play them half volume. Should i wait til there broken in to get em tuned? thecityxignites
Some will say break in is needed, and some will say it isn't. When I put my sa-12s in my car, I turned it up to my listening volume and let em have it. Quote 2001 chevy cavalier Rebuild in progress what happens when your CD player skips and you accidentally drop a 22 hz sine bomb at an unholy volume on 7-8 year old subs? Mechanical failure floppy sub knockage on at least 2. well...as i see the level 6 is compared to a lamborghini.....but a corvette? i was thinking more like a chevy volt. its cute and new and "hip", but i would just rather stick my dick in a blender......... LoudBimmer
You suppose to disconnect subs and then tune them

TRTC360
imho break in isn't necessary if you're running clean, unclipped , rated power. I've ever had an issue with not breaking subs in.
