Im getting ready to put everything in my car after 2 months of work and i made an appointment up at a local car audio shop and said they would tune my amps. I have 2 Brand new AQ HDC3's That never seen an amp before. Last time i got my amp tuned they put it on full volume and tuned it like that. I'll be puting them in monday, and my appointment is on tuesday so i only have 1 day with them where there not going to be tuned. My question is i know there gonna turn the volume up again to tune it but i know its bad to beat the hell outta your subs when there brand new...supposed to only play them half volume. Should i wait til there broken in to get em tuned?

Car: 2002 Buick Regal

Wiring: Knu Kolossus 1/0 + JL 4 Gauge

Big 3: Stinger HPM 1/0

Alternator: Stock 135 Amp

Batterys: Optima RedTop (Hood) XS D3100 (Trunk)

HeadUnit: Pioneer DEH-4200UB

Subs: (2) AQ HDC3 12's

Sub Amp: AQ 2200D

Sub Box: 4.6 Cubes @ 36hz

Mids & Highs: (Front) Rockford Fosgate Power T1693 3-Way 6x9's

Mids & Highs: (Rear ) Rockford Fosgate Power T152S 2-Way Component 5.25"

Speaker Amp: AQ4x90

Sound Dampener : 75 Ft Fatmat

Some will say break in is needed, and some will say it isn't. When I put my sa-12s in my car, I turned it up to my listening volume and let em have it.

what happens when your CD player skips and you accidentally drop a 22 hz sine bomb at an unholy volume on 7-8 year old subs? Mechanical failure floppy sub knockage on at least 2.

well...as i see the level 6 is compared to a lamborghini.....but a corvette?

i was thinking more like a chevy volt. its cute and new and "hip", but i would just rather stick my dick in a blender.........

Tune em your self !

if i knew how to i would in a heartbeat. there's to many dials on my amps and dont have a clue how to set them

imho break in isn't necessary if you're running clean, unclipped , rated power. I've ever had an issue with not breaking subs in.
