new alt, how to adjust voltage?

Recommended Posts

Matt is a great guy. The way i view it, if he can tolerate all the questions i bombed him with when my alt i got from him arrived broken, before and after the sale of the two alts i got from him and everything else he helped me with, he is a great guy to work with. I only wish my mechman alt had a chrome plate across it to show off that it is a mechman unit. lol. Ive been hammering the hell out of my alt and it has never failed me or gotten hot. It takes a lot of abuse and works like it did when i first installed it. I dont know why there are so many people who bitch and complain about Matt or his other guys since i love the customer service i received from them even when they were busy with a ton of orders to fulfill.

after talking with matt i got this all figured out, they sent me the wrong unit, but seeing as i wanna keep a 12v system, i said fuck it, matt put the diffrence between the two units and put it twoards another D2400 which will complete my batterybank....for now :)

mechman has nothing but quality customer service, id like to thank mechman as a whole and matt as well for being such a big help and clearing some stuff up! thanks!

Good that this is resolved!

While this unit does not have the adjustable voltage the Hairpin design produces much cleaner power, introducing much less noise into the system than the original style alternator.

If you need anything else you know where to find us.

For everyone- It's best to email me directly ([email protected]) or call, I don't have the time to follow the forums as much these days. I try to keep up on SMD and all the other forums but it's hard when we are busy.
