RandyAudio Posted August 13, 2011 Report Share Posted August 13, 2011 (edited) building a box for my Ram 1500 Quad Cab with 2 8" L7's 1500 watts at 2ohm not to great at designing loud enclosures with ports but messed around with the box calc and came up with this. suggestions would be greatly apreciated. looking to build the box tomorrow. ISO Posted August 13, 2011 Report Share Posted August 13, 2011 I do not recommend tuning below 40 hertz for the 8 inch L7. You will loose a shit ton of output if you tune lower that that. 727Designs Posted August 14, 2011 Report Share Posted August 14, 2011 The L7 8" is .035 per sub. They seem to like 38-39hz from what I've seen. I have tuned them as low as 36hz per the owners request and they still sounded alright.
