Phoenix Gold Australia's 12x 12" Elite's 24kw - 160.2dB @ 40Hz

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Long time fan - first time poster!

So we've begun building a demo car here in Australia that I thought you guys might want to follow along with. We've been talking with a number of the SMD guys on Facebook and have got some really good advice so just wanted to say a BIG thanks there.

Basically we are building a Holden Astra which is a little 4 door hatchback that isn't sold in the USA, and yes the steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car!

Our build goal is to achieve mid 150's with music from around 40Hz and up, witht he 4th order design and our size limitations (small car) we will be happy with anything in the low to Mid 150's from 30-40Hz. The plan is to use 18 of the Phoenix Gold Ti212d4's (600w RMS Dual 4ohm 12" subs) and run them off of 9 of the Ti1500.1 monoblocks (1250w RMS at 1ohm)

The 4th order we're doing is 0.51ft3ea rear and 1.17ft3ea front for an approx 1:2.3 ratio. The rear sealed was designed to give the subs a 0.9Qtc. We will be making the front port removable so we can adjust bothe the area and length for tuning, and may have one setup for 'Music' and another for dB Drag, but that's all just ideas for now...

So enough talk, here's the pics so far:
