NEW PRODUCT SNEAK PEAK! SMD AD-1 Amp Dyno - UPDATE 3/27/13 Spy Pics Page 11, 13, 14

Recommended Posts

WOOT! I know who's house I am going to in September lol. I should have my bigger amp by then to so I can test the RF's and the ***.

I would be more than happy to dyno them for you.

I need to come up with something better than just my name to put on the boot up screen.

Unless I have missed it posted someplace else, were you going to post up a video of the AD-1 in meter mode using the IM-SG to create the spectrum analyzer? Very interested in seeing this function!!!

Need to see if I can move some funds around and pick one of these beasts up! I am not a shop, and have severly toned down the amount of installs I do, but a tool like this is first of all almost too cool/fun to pass up, and really creates such an opportunity to get the most out of the money we put into our cars in the first place. I like knowing my investments are being used to their full potential! :)

Firm believer in letting my cars do my talking!

You can't rush quality, it doesn't happen overnight. Quality takes time and dedication, but the end results more than pay for it.

I'm not sure where else to post this, but someone who owns the AD-1 should Dyno any RF bdCP amp and post what they do at 8 ohms. I've always been curious.

Also, very nice product! That would be one fun tool.

  • 2 weeks later...

guys, looks like CJ changed his mind.....money refunded and 002 is now going to be available. Between being busy trying to get the 72 done and a 13 day visit by moms/pops last week, i haven't had time to push the product or do much testing to show you what this is capable of. I will though! soon!

anybody interested in a very low serial #, email me. #003 & #004 are spoken for and i think someone might take #5.....but #2 is now officially up for grabs. :)

I think this one of the best products to have come from D'amore. By giving the consumer the power test our amplifiers the manufacturers can stop giving us BS numbers and pushes them for a standard. Alpine used to do it with the v12 line. There are some out there that still give legit numbers but a lot of them are blowing smoke. Steve thanks for testing the Sundown amp. I have really been considering buying them for my subs now.

Hurts to have to do that, but had to be done right now. Something changes in the next few weeks, I will be back for it!

Sorry to bump, but hadn't seen anything yet. Was still looking to see if there is, or will be a video showing more about using the AD-1 in conjunction with the IM-SG to create a spectrum analyzer? Very interested in this.

Ordered my AD-1 today!! I have a nice stash of amps to test...man it's gonna be fun, but I'm sure my 250A power supply will be a big limiting factor. That's cool, most of my old school amps consume well under 250A. Steve, if you see my AD-1 before it ships, please sign it. If not, that's cool, I'll just have you in the OSS labs / museum one day and you can do it then :rockwoot:
