RAY,CJ,DEWRIGHT, Need help...mega build starting need answers

Recommended Posts

Ok, here's the deal. After months of debating, and pursueding of the wife, I have decided to build a wall in my 2006 Dodge Charger. Here the the breakdown, I was gonna originally do a bandpass but wanted something I would use on more of a daily so what I decided was a 20ft^3 enclosure with 600" sq inches of port area tuned around 37-40 hz. Was shooting for a 1000" but fell short. Now my question is 1: what subs would work best in a application

like this (not which sub is best, but which will possibly preform better) looking for a min of 4. Now question 2: Will a enclosure of that dozens ok, with the amount of port area that I want or do I need to go bigger or smaller?

Hey 600sq for a 20cu box is a bit much. Thea 30sq" per cu. Personally I wouldnt do over 20sq per cu but 18 would be better.

im with jeff. when I saw that I thought you had a typo.

20 cu.ft is the guess on the small side, the

dimensions are: 50w x 40h x 20d.... With port being 15w x 30h.... but the rear will be built angled, so I might get another 3-6 cubes

your best approach now that you know what fits is to figure out what you want to run. then you can spec out accordingly

I was originally gonna go with (4) xl 15's....but I only have (1) mechman 320a alt, and (4) Kinetick 2400's.....upgrading to xs3100's so I am limited on how muck power I can do....this is a build for a daily driver. That why I asked about what would work best.... Don't want to get (4) 15 on a 9k and my electrical won't support it
