Music recording programs

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of a program such as audacity or whatever that is good for recording music? There is a particular thing I want to be able to to which is be able to layer music tracks.

For example if I want to have a few different guitar tracks (lead and rhythm) I'd like to be able to have say the rhythm track play back in my headphones while it's recoding another layer track if that makes sense?

Thanks for your time :drinks:

I would think Audacity could do that...but you could dish out $3300 on a Presonus 24.4.2 and have features like that with the software that comes with it, then give the board to me? :D

In all seriousness, I have no idea...

POTATO!
