it sounds like it is your pcm. i had issues with my pcm before i had it tuned where my shifting was so damn slow and my throttle opened up extremely slow that i hated my truck having the I6 engine in it. I got mine flashed from PCMforless and it works perfect for me. Their website is http://www.pcmforless.com/. also according to their website (http://www.pcmforless.com/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=62&Itemid=40) you can contact Bryan for help with flashing your stock pcm. This is intended for use with your stock engine but im very sure these guys will know how to get everything for your new crate build you did. They are really smart people over there and know a lot about programming the pcm for you. You may have to do a CASE re-learn procedure (where it knows the engine and everything like the security features of your vehicle) but thats not hard to do at all, and you may have to get the crankshaft position sensor to time up to the pcm so it knows that the engine isnt mis-firing and set off your check engine light.

Sorry for not getting back here. Yes it is the PCM feeding the new 350 the same fuel, etc as if it was the old 305.

And they have the same heads, and same size spider poppet injectors. But this crate came with new heads.

Only main difference between the 305 and 350 vortec was the port chambers and bigger cylinders and a different PCM tune....besides the normal differences.

I went with a tune from PCMforless before seeing any of this haha. FedEx says computer gets here tomorrow actually.

Thanks everyone :D

better?????

Nope, still problems. The PCM is tuned but now I have to deal with my O2 sensors...which happen to have 3 precat and only 1 cat on the 5.0, whereas only 2 precats(one per pipe) into 2 cats on the 5.7.

Truck will spin tires on the first minute of open loop, then when it gets into closed loop it is terrible and my SES light came on. Had it scanned and every oxygen sensor is throwing a too rich code. (Which means O2 sensors are telling PCM to lean it way out)

Not sure what to do now, dunno how to make the 3 precat sensors read what a 5.7 should have instead of 5.0 (I think it's somewhere in the wiring harness or PCM)

Strait pipes will kill power on a stock engine

You might be right, although I didn't notice anything within the first year after exhaust was done.

Still have the original cat and put another cat on the other pipe when I made it true dual. Just no mufflers.

Then again it could be something with long term fuel trim, who knows, this is a pain in the ass that is eating my audio money :bull:

Here is what the stock 5.0 exhaust looked like with my truck... now how do I make the sensors read as if it was a 5.7 like it is now instead of reading too rich?
