Do you have three sets of RCAs? Also, if you do, are you using the Sub set of RCAs? If so, then what phase are you set at, and what level is your sub output on your deck at?

If you only have two sets of RCAs, then you cannot use HPF

x 10 !!!! this is your answer.... he said something about I/O on the sub/rear .....that to me means its sub/rear switchable which isnt a "true" sub preout. so yea you cant use hpf on that deck if you have a sub hooked up to the rear channel (even if it is set on sub) i would go out and buy a headunit with 3 preouts front, rear, and sub. best thing you could do.....

i think there real i was looking through that guys stuff he sells and it looks like he finds stuff at auctions and just sells it

Yea, it looks like someone got the mids about a month ago....shit. If I had a whole Hertz front stage my ears would jizz all over my cheeks.

There in lies your problem. HPF will HPF all deck outputs(I believe). Therefore, when it is turned on, then it will affect your sub amp.

Unless the set of RCAs you use is for Sub only.

let say that he HAS 2 sets of preouts...one set for the front and one set for the rear speakers

so the thing is...why not sacrificing the rear speakers for the sub(you surely wont need rear speakers)?

in that case the HPF wont affect the sub

totally.

THEN.....CHECK these

it doesnt have a sub pre out...

but you can sacrifice your rear speakers for the sub....and the HPF wont affect the subs

it worked for me

++++it has 2 SETS of preouts

but it will affect the sub because its still a TRUE rear channel so the headunit WILL apply hpf settings to it NO MATTER WHAT...... ive been here done that on alot of h/u and there is no way around it..... either turn your hpf off or dont run a sub..... lol my 2 cents

ill gladly sacrifice my rears for my sub. so just use the other set of preouts? finally something worth trying.
