The best fix is idlers or a larger pulley to increase the contact area of the belt. If we had your car at the shop we could develop a solution for your problem, but unless you can bring it to Knoxville that is not an option. I would be happy to assist you in the design and construction of an idler setup to help cure your slip issues. miniSPLlancer
I order one of the 270 amp from Eric for my 08 Lancer, which nobody else makes one for, and so far so good. Cool people they always answer the phone, you guys no what I mean. Even though I haven't gotten mine yet it should ship today or very soon. And honestly for the price, can't beat it, 1 other place which I won't name, wanted to charge me $200 more and that was if they ever got the parts in that they needed to make one, seeing that no one had ever ordered one for my car yet. Anyways, Mechman has come through so far and once it's in and installed I'll post a vid of it. Idle amperage with the 270a unit is 165a in your application. You can't run both alternators to the same battery bank on your vehicle due to the PCM control. any idea on what the model for a chevy w/350 will cost Depends on the application, what is this going on? Real96SS
I wanted to run 2 alternators seperate from my stock charging system. So would this be an option and if not how do I get around the PCM controlling the voltage? MECHMAN
This may be an option for you in the future when they are built for GM applications, for now they are only for the V-mount Ford. Email me and we can discuss how to make multiple units work on your ride.
