2000LaDe
yes they would sell just the bracket. u would have to go through a shop though. a normal consumer cant go through ohio gen. and i have no clue about the size of belt. but it seems to be a HAIR to big. so i have to look into a tad smaller one if they make one. if not figure out something to stop the squeaking haha. and well the bracket itself was over 400 dollars including the belt. not sure ext price just know it was under 500. and the alts were purchased from a local guy here and another off ca forum. definetly drops the idle down ALOT. lots of stress on the engine with it. i can notice the difference. meade916
it looks like that bottom one is the noisy one.....doesnt look like the belt is wrapped around it very much (like the upper one is). Thats the only part of dual (in your case 3) alts...workin out the bugs. One of the biggest bugs i had was belt squeek. With a 300 amp alt, when you nail on your system, its almost locking up as it engages and if you dont have a LOT of belt on it then it will screech like crazy. Might even do that when you just take off from idle, like a quick chirp even if the system is off. Mine didnt get cured until i lowered my idler pully and gave them more surface area. Anyway, my lazyness (or being busy with other stuff) has allowed you to beat me to 3 alts DAMMT i guess i gotta get to work here!! 2000LaDe
well i partially fixed the squelch from the belt. haha didnt do it the way normal people would. they didnt make a belt that fit perfect so i bought a belt that was 2 inchs smaller. took off the belt tensioner and put the belt on and now it works great. still has a slight screech like u said taking off or w/e but after that its fine. a lil belt dressing and there is nothing. steve look at nappa belts for one that u need. they might have one for u. and sorry but u beat me to the 4 18's so i had to beat u at something
