SPLHell
Hey! My question is, how to wire a 2x1ohm subwoofer to 1Ohm load to the mono? I've been trying to find a diagram for 2x1ohm woofer wiring, but I couldn't find any :S It's a 12" Impedans 1 ohm DVC subwoofer, 2x1ohm. Is it the same as wiring a 2x2ohm woofer to 1ohm? Sorry for my clumsy english and maybe for the most dumb question. Thanks in advance! /Dima Edited November 6, 2011 by SPLHell

flashlight_65
If its 1 ohm dvc sub your options are only .5 ohms or 2 ohms. Quote My builds: my caddy my 'hoe friends impala

BJD3
http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=12#results I don't think that's what he's asking? I think he has a dual 1 subwoofer. In which case, flashlight is correct. Quote Anti Peel and Seal...lol You may be offended by the above. Wicks
If its 1 ohm dvc sub your options are only .5 ohms or 2 ohms. ^^^This! Options: 1.) Buy new equipment. 2.) Use an impedance matching transformer between the amp and speaker (not ideal and costly). 3.) Only power one of the voicecoils at 1 ohm. Not ideal either. 4.) Run equipment at lower power with 2 ohms. TeamHT
You say subwoofer as in single...so its safe to assume you mean a single D1 woofer. And then you ask if it is the same as a D2 woofer being wired to 1 ohm nominal... Quote Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
