extremeauto
O'riellys has code scanners that they sell for abs etc if there is 1 near you go in and talk nice and see if they will scan the code fore you...i have the same inovia scanners at my shop i bought from them ...most of the time they have a demo model they will let customers play with ....it should tell u witch sensor it is...write it down and Google it or look in a book on your car ...they may have 1 there if you dont (witch you should have anyway before you try to fix something you dont fully understand) or you can go to all-data and pay the $25.00 for your car and get all the info the dealers do.... good luck or just buy the right pad....lol Edited January 2, 2012 by extremeauto Quote 1995 Honda passport 3.2 4x4 Frankenstein on a budget ballistics sound deader (roof only so far) kenwood mp3 usb audio control 3 (upgrading) hifonics mx-3 3 sets of massive px5 5.25s 3 sets of massive tweets phonix gold 5.25 componets x2 massive nx4 nano 200x4 mids sony xplod 600x4 watt high's 2 Fi bl fully loaded box walled @31ish hz 13.2 cube box/wall massive DB8000 Excessive amaperge 250 amp alt wir extrnl regulator daul runs of xs power xpflex 0 gauge big 3 raptor 0 gauge power/ground wire full run suriken 45 amp hour x3 shriken bt-120 batts, interstate 1100CA semi batt scytek galaxy 2way alarm still upgradeing! photochrisb931
I agree with what N8 says. I have never worked with the vw's using the sensor I have worked on plenty of the mercedes that use a similar set up to what you describe. The answer for them is use an oem approved replacement. On those it is limited pretty much to either mercedes original or wagner thermo quiets and not a whole lot of difference in price. So I would put in an approved pad and take back the ones without the sensor. Edited January 2, 2012 by photochrisb931 Quote Barstad
armykyle1
you could just get some cheapo pads and get the sensors out. I've done this before for a customer who wanted to keep the high performance pads. Just tapped them up, zip tie, all black, could never see them.
