Ric Thornton
so.... as I'm staring at the wall last saturday afternoon... why not take a pair of 9515 that Mr.Boswell picked up for another possible setup with 12's or 18" in another vechicle... or to simply use as backups as one has coil rub bad (smells like doody when playin' and can hear it at low volume... like a slinky) and the one of the coils on that sub actually read 0. lol DEAD. what the hell... I'll toss em in just to test a theory. TEST SETUP BEFORE BOX REBUILD... for those that need a link... UPDATE... SEE BELOW FOR NEW PICS AND SCORES... WE WILL DO THIS RUN AGAIN SOON FOR YOU TO CHECK OUT!!! ITS LOUDER NOW!!!

Ric Thornton
first... the box... the original setup for this exact box was one 15". We got a decent score of consistent 156.6 with a high of 157.1dB using the single woofer in this music box. Quite a few people including Chode had seen this setup and heard it. It was pretty nasty. Then we went to the spl box...did a high of 159.0dB with one 15" DD9515. now we wanted music again... so i modded the top of the box temporarily for two 15"... got a nice number of about a 158.4... so I did a few more mods to the box this week to try and get that 159 on music... first up... I put new top plate on the box and did some artwork... drew this on the top then routered it freehand... next the pod that holds the radio... I rebuilt a new one with a on/off switch and vol knob and gave it a touch of beast...
