Witch 4th order would you build?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. I have had two great box designers help me with some designs lately and I was wondering witch one you would use for a Epic 8.

1.Sealed .76. 1.87 ported after displacement tuned to 55hz.

2.Sealed .35. 1.00 ported after displacement tuned to 51hz.

I listen to alot of country and classic rock but still like to demo rap for people. Thanks for the input.

Reasoning behind this? Not doubting just trying to figure things out.

just got a box design by ram design and he tuned it at 46 hz, maybe it has to do with the range and trying to get the low lows from subs

to high tuning

Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k!

Why would you EVER WANT flex?
huh?...flex is what can make the lows lower and more air being pushed correct?

depends on what you are trying to do. The .76 sealed should play lower and louder with that large ported section, but the tuning seems high. I dont know much about that woofer, but most of the 4ths I see are not tuned over 50 especially if you are trying to get low.

What sub was it?

4.91 sealed 10.66 ported tuned to 4 hz

:orly3::peepwall: You never came by saturday.

to high tuning

Why is this? From what I read they won't play over their tuning?
