Colin - STAPUFT
i have been thinking of adding a dual alt setup for my cars electrical system. if i get the bracket and mount my second alternator do i just wire the second alts harness in parallel with the stock one? x2 This is almost impossible to find. I don't want to have to buy a box for it either. What is your application / car? I am of the understanding that it is bad juju putting two internally regulate alts in one system, because they will never be exactly at the same voltage... but it seems to me that which ever one is lower will kick in when the load is applied. 12 - 12"s in the STAY PUFT 1989 Chevy Astro Build & Comment Log Un-Interrupted Build LogYouTube Channel Chevy Trailblazer 5.1 Dolby Digital DTS Install You have a beard of a mysterious sea captain. tlee2
Alot of people run a 2nd alt strictly for the system. As in the stock alt for the car and the 2nd for the system. 2 seperate electrical systems 6 Sundown X 15s 2 Sundown NS1 V2s C Pillar 4th order Bagged Suburban on 24s http://youtube.com/tlee333

MrSkippyJ
unless you are running 2 different voltages in your car, there is little reason to separate electrical systems. tlee2
in that case you need a harness that will plug in both alts then plug into your factory harness 6 Sundown X 15s 2 Sundown NS1 V2s C Pillar 4th order Bagged Suburban on 24s http://youtube.com/tlee333
miniSPLlancer
Dude, that doesn't make sense, you want 2 alts to run your electrical in your vehicle? Instead of one for your vehicle, safe and sound, and one solely for you system without putting strain on the rest of vehicle components? I must be missing something? 2011 Mitsubishi OutlanderSony 712 Soundqubed HDS208 Alpine MRV-M500 Transmission line enclosure Soundqubed wiring Knu rca XS Power battery CNF terminals
