barney Posted February 22, 2012 Report Share Posted February 22, 2012 well i put a stinger 250 on my 07 tahoe and the owner art cupp from can am motor service in fl who makes the alt. for stinger told me to add a 4.7k 1/4 watt resistor to the plug and it will keep everything running right well i put one in but it was 1/2 watt after a month my light came on so i called him again and told him my light was on and brought up that i use a 1/2 watt so he said to change it so i did and everything is good Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Lbox88 Posted March 2, 2012 Report Share Posted March 2, 2012 Hmmm... the difference between a 1/4 and 1/2 watt shouldn't have mattered, both would have a 4.7k resistance, just the 1/2 watt should have dissipated heat better.
