That would be a question for Mechman!

We are still working on a solution for PCM controlled GMs. We have just ordered a new 4 channel scope, and we are playing around with a few different PCM controlled Fords and GMs to develop an AVBM that integrates seamlessly with the PCM on these vehicles.

We have a lot of customers who just order the unit with our single wire AVBM, and just leave the OEM alternator plug disconnected. Of course this results in a "check battery" light in the dash, but I guess a lot of hardcore bass-heads arn't too worried about that...

I have noticed that whenever my deck cuts off this pop sound comes through my subs from the amps.I disconnected the rca's and it still did it.It doesn't do it all the time but the majority of the time. I think its the amps turning off too early and causing this problem. Are you able to make some sort of relay that would delay the amps cutoff enough to stop this from happening? The equipment is in my Sig. Thanks

Hmmm . . . I was JUST thinking about this yesterday. Actually, what you're likely talking about is a turn-off pop that occurs because an upstream component makes some kind of noise when it is turned off. As they amps still have charge in their capacitors for a few seconds after being turned off, they'll continue to amplify whatever comes to them.

Does this sound like what you're talking about? Does this only happen with your subs?

Yes it only happens with the subs and I was only guessing as to what was causing it.

Subs are wired to 1 ohm and if your talking about power runs then from the batteries it's 2 per amp and one for highs and mids so 5 total. Would that be causing the turn off pop

Here's a pic of a relay center I built yesterday for a gentleman that owns a Jeep with a MESS under his hood. He wanted a simple and convenient place to connect his fog lights, overhead lights, and an electric ran. This called for five relays and he wanted a spare. No problem. He also bought one of our charging system upgrade kits and a few other goodies.

This will mount on the interior side of the firewall on the passenger side.

This utilizes six of our Tyco Bosch 30A Relays, one of or 9-position ATC fuse panels, and a few of our barrier strips. Sky is the limit . . .

now thats some purdy stuff Tony! couldve used something like that on my 70 bug!
