Hey guys, so I have a 2005 Honda Accord LX 2.4L stick and I was wondering what I could do just to get an extra boost out of it. I was going to add a cool air intake, provided by JDM or AEM. I'm not to familiar with how it's done, but do you guys have any suggestions on anything from the cool air intake to exhaust? That would be great. Thanks!

supercharger :peepwall:

but if your not looking to drop a couple grand you could always just get a cai, headers, muffler, performance cat ect. also if its been awhile do a complete tune up (id put this before anything else.). put in some performance oil. chip it, lower it ( might not make you faster but it sure will feel faster. my car sits so low i can barley fit my foot under it, if i go 80+ mph im shitting bricks.), get better tires. take out your system...

lmao jk

All of what was posted above. And please, whatever you do, don't give it that horrifying, raspy, mosquito-farting-in-a-coffee-can sound.

When I had a 96civic JEGS recommended a 70series flowmaster muffler instead of the cannon muffler...had a nice moderately deep tone for a 4cyl...and look into a high flow cat!

already mentioned but ill add some random info

for the intake tubing you can get any cheap ebay brand, just make sure you get a good filter alot of ppl run K&N

then do a full exhaust, with out the going with a cheap fart can

lowering it the right way, not some cheap suspension crapp off ebay

those things will add alittle power to you accord with out spending too much $$$, and help on handling

for a real difference in power you can always add a snail under the hood turbo.gif

The easiest gain from a Honda is to replace the cat. The inside of the cat is dual layered so it restricts the exhaust like a mofo. So go with a full header back exhaust and an intake. Quick and easy.

I have the same car, but mine is an 07.

My exhaust:

-DC Sports Ceramic 4-2-1 Header w/ Heat Shield Delete

-Stainless Steel Flex Bellow (Flex Pipe Delete)

-Magnaflow Catalytic Converter

-Vibrant Performance Stealth Muffler

-Resonator Delete

My engine:

-OBX Racing Intake Gasket

-Unorthodox Racing Underdrive Pulley set

-Gates K070694 Belt

-Apexii Neo A/F Computer

-K/N Short Ram Intake w/ Heat Shield

-Acura TSX Intake Manifold

-P2R Thermal Gaskets x3

-P2R Fuel Rail w/ Harness Tuck

-P2R Throttle Body Spacer

-Spoon Sports 1.3 Bar Radiator Cap

-NGK Iridium Sparks Plugs

Can't supercharge or turbo b/c the ecus are locked up. Not much else to do to those motors. Don't dig internally. Swap a tsx engine if you want to be properly quick, or a j series
