With the rear battery out and charging, I decided to retest alternator charging levels again to make sure I was getting a good reading.  Voltage levels were at 14.47-14.5 at idle and consistent.

Crazy 8 made a good point about excessive voltage being passed thru the circuit breaker and how it could be an issue.  It seems like the things we use for added convenience end up being an inconvenience ?

That’s all I was able to do this afternoon.  I work graveyard so I won’t be able to conduct anything further until tomorrow morning.  Any other suggestions on what to test?

With the rear battery out, this will give me a better opportunity to create or fab up some proper battery mounts. ?

Well folks, let’s not use any breakers anymore shall we? ? that was definitely the issue.  No more fluctuations on the voltage, both batteries are topped off.  No pooped fuses...I ran some heavy bass songs at stupid loud volumes and nothing.

So thanks for the tips again guys, thank god it wasn’t anything else. ??

That’s clean man...4 door?  I bet those Fosgates get down too. 1f44d.png

Thanks bro! It's not bad for my first complete stereo install ever and first in 20 years lol. The fosgates have been great so far. I'm only running rms to them but i'm looking to give them some more power in the near future. They are the best subs that I have used so far but I have not looked into much anything else. May I ask your experiences with sub brands that you've used?

  • 1 month later...

I didn't have any ambitions when building my system other than just being loud and playing low, trying to get as loud as I could in my setup with my gear.  I just recently gave myself a goal to obtain...my goal is to reach 144db...I am on the threshold of breaking 143db...I still have yet to stiffen and dampen my roof and properly do my doors...so where do i stand today?
