I wish I could give you an objective answer, but I have never played with a level 6, seen, or heard. Changes soon hopefully, but still.

What is your goal and desired results from the system? I will say the XL is probably hands down my favorite DC woofer.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

This was brought up talking to a friend of mine about the 10's I used to have. The 6 is a beast of a sub, but I think a pair of 12's would be even more brutal. 15's would not work right, even built in the trunk. Just not enough cu ft because of the hump.
