36wide x 16tall x 20 deep.

also i am really starting to think it would be a lot easier just to do a standard rectangle box with 4 10s facing up and port back towards the trunk lid.

this is for a trunk?

don't do subs up port back.

you're better off doing the first design sealed. have all 4 10's facing in towards the cabin then you can seal it off from the trunk.

Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs.

More box builds

some cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches!

I'm with captain stupid.

You def have enough airspace (5.3 cuft net) for the ported but don'have enough space in the baffle for a port or ports, that's the problem.

Guess that you need to go for the sealed (2 cubic feet), or use two high power 12" ported would outperform the Bostons easily, something like 2 x Fi SSD 12" in a ported configuration.

The best thing that you could do is take the design that was given to you with the four subs firing forward, just making the internal volume 2 cubic feet, if you want to do what you just said here's how:

DIMENSIONS AS SEEN FROM THE TOP!!

Enclosure Specifications:

Vgross = 2.073 ft^3

Subwoofer Mounting = Flush Mounted

External Height = 23 in

External Width = 23 in

External Depth = 10 in

Cut List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.

* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Front & Back (3 parts) = 23 x 23

Left & Right Sides = 7 3/4 x 21 1/2

Top & Bottom = 23 x 7 3/4

well the design i like the most is this. i want it to be seoerated into two boxes because one big box like this wont fit in my trunk opening. I would want it seperated right down the middle so i will have one facing forward and one facing sideways in each box. is this possible and will it stay within y dimensons and the right amount of airspace.
