LUV bass
Ok, I want to use 4 Crescendo mp6's and 2 xst2s Super tweets in my college dorm room. These will likely be going in my truck when I get out of college. I was looking at this amp to power them (but am open to suggestions) : http://www.parts-exp...310-304&scqty=1 The 6's come in either 4 or 8 ohm, and the tweets only in 8. So my question is, should I get all in 8 ohm, and wire them like so; or get the mids in 4 ohm, and wire them like so to two of the channels, then wire the 8 ohm tweets to the other two channels? Also, should I band-pass the mids? If so, what would be the best way to do this? And for the high-pass for the tweets, can I just use something like this: http://www.parts-exp...tnumber=266-474 ? I am open to any and all suggestions/opinions Thanks for any help, and if I left out any information, please ask. Tebo
Those super tweeters are going to be fucking retarded loud in your dorm your ears are Guna bleed lol. Super tweeters are supposed to used make your highs come in clear over high split levels. Try some part express for some home audio tweets. Morel and dayton are some names you should look for Quote 04 dodge dakota ext cab 4x4 excessive amperage 300 amp alt with MONSTER stud =)sundown z v3 15 in a 4th order on aq2200sundown 100.4 2 way active...2 Prv audio 6mb200 & 2 re XXX tweetersdeka intimidatorkenwood x396big 3 1/0 knu wire back to deka intimidator
SmallTruk
I'd do the two 4ohm setup, it'll make things easier in multiple ways. I'd skip the super tweets too. If you want some cheap, decent tweets my fav is the Vifa XT25's. MadiSound, Amazon and Parts Express all sell them. Usually about $28-35 a piece. Kranny
12v 4 amp power supply. thats 48 watts, max. so like 10w a channel. you'd be better off using a freaking headunit than that p.o.s
LUV bass
Ok, I'll look into some other tweeters, and I belive the minimum impedance of the amp is 2ohm/channel Quote 2008 Toyota Corolla -Skar VVX 12 D4 (2)-Skar SK1500.1-Pioneer DEH-80prs
LUV bass
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=275-070 How about these? And Kranny, what kind of alternative would you suggest? I don't need crap loads of power, it's a small room, lol Quote 2008 Toyota Corolla -Skar VVX 12 D4 (2)-Skar SK1500.1-Pioneer DEH-80prs
412 CVX
Look into a cheap, stereo receiver. it'll be 8 ohm stable but better Quote Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. LUV bass
So about the stereo receiver, could I get the 4 ohm mids, wire each pair to 8 ohms? Then how would I go about wiring in the tweeters (Also 8 ohm)?
