audiofanaticz
heres a pic I took of my owneers manual, its kinda hard to see, but if you blow it up some you can kinda read. I would of scanned it, but Im too p00r for a scanner I was having a question about strapping too. Ive been hearing that if your amp is 1 ohm mono stable, and you strap 2 amps together, you can now only run 2 ohm mono. Id like to be able too run 2 amps strapped at 1ohm for daily driving, so it would be like running 1 amp by itself at .5 ohm. Could I get aways with this? Id figure there would be a tad more strain on the amp, but maybe Ill just get my second amp before buying subs incase it wouldnt be good for the amp. I guess 6000rms @ 2 ohm would be good enough. But I guess Im kinda curious..
meade916
you are correct, 2 1ohm stable amps strapped should only be shown 2 ohms because now they are each seeing half of that which is 1 ohm. Show them 1 ohm and they "see" 1/2 ohm. depends on the model of amp whether or not it will be OK with that. Im not personally familiar with that brand your showing us so maybe someone else here can say if it will be ok at .5 ohms.
