SnowDrifter
Post back time. Got a Schumacher SC-10030A a while back, but never used it much except for charging new batteries before they go in - but I decided to start using it for all my batteries. Not much of a difference on a new car with a new battery (no system in it YET though). But it made quite a difference in a 6 year old battery. Used to sit at 12.4, now it sits at 12.6-12.7v. Chargers FTW. Listen to Noobtastic on this one. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Lbox88
tried the small battery tender plus from O'reilly ? mine charges at 14.46 and holds at 13.54 If I'm going to spen $65 on a charger, I'd rather get the CTEK-3300 and charge/maintain with a 3.3A charger than a 1.25A. Fast isn't key here, it is the consistant use that is most important. On a 12hr overnight charge of a healthy battery it's silly to dump excessive amperage on it. I only hook up my 1A charger when I know it will have awhile to do its thing. Also, I bought both my red tops used in 08 and they still kick ass every day. SnowDrifter
no one answered my question does topping off the battery weekly make the battery run down faster or weaker Not really sure what you are asking lol. Sorry It improves the life of the battery and helps stop it from going dead if that's what you mean ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
