If you're rich and can afford that kind of price tag. JL sounds amazing. But most people can't afford a 4,000$ 2-12W7 on 2-1000rms amps system lololol

Nor is it necessary to spend that kind of money to get a quality product ;) as you may know!

2 very different subs, with 2 different target markets and 2 different types of performance... The old w6 is still to this day one of the best sounding subs I have heard. Most people are not on this site for pure sq purposes tho. Depends on your goals to determine what sub is best for your application. You didnt say specifically what lines you are comparing. Some of the JL lines will definitely be more sq oriented then Skar. As far as quality, thats relative. I can personally vouch that the Skar vvx's can take WAY more then rated power. The w3v2 (which I actually like in some ways) is rated at 500w so is a decent comparison to a VVX. I have put power on VVXs that would easily smoke the w3v2's

imho if it wasnt for the price tag of jl i would rock them over skar anyday. if you disagree you have never heard a properly set up w7 system with jl amps and components its pure sex, but for the price id much rather take skar. wayy more bang for your buck and very quality subs and imo nothing comes even close for the price. id take skars over 90% of the subs that are $300+
