Kranny Posted March 24, 2012 Report Share Posted March 24, 2012 (edited) I decided my 8 year old dell wasnt cutting it anymore so i upgraded a little... i5 2500k with an evo 212 cooler running at 4.3ghz with 50mv boost. couldnt get it over 165f running prime95 radeon hd6850 slightly overclocked to 850 clock and 1050 memory 620w psu nzxt case with one super cool blue led fan forgot to mention, 8 gigs of patriot sniper ram and an asrock z68 gen3 pro3 mobo nothing else really special besides spaghetti wiring couldn't use the side fan because it would hit the obnoxiously large cpu cooler Edited March 24, 2012 by Kranny Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Did you splurge for an ssd? couldn't be happier with it. chrome doesnt lag when loading pages anymore which im ecstatic about. no i didnt go for the ssd, as i already spent more than my tax return on this thing haha. How's the Apollo case treating you? I love the look of the front of it. Looks almost like an old school Alienware! pretty well. installation wasnt as hard as i thought. 5.25 and 3.5" drive bays are screwless. i thought the same thing, it looks like a straight up alienware case.
