LVL 2 8s getting cold? Just odd.

Recommended Posts

Ok so I have 2 lvl2m2 8s on a RE XT2000DE V3 wired to 1 ohm and I was out listening and enjoying my new little system. Anyways after about half hour of pushing them pretty hard i checked a few things just to make sure nothing was getting hot. I checked the subs and they were cold? I've heard of someones subs getting cold but what causes this and is this any concern? I took them out of the box and the motor was ice cold and there was actually condensation on the back of the motor! Anyone else have this problem?

at the risk of being trolled, compressed air gets cold. are you using a sealed enclosure?

Compressed air gets hot

Decompressed air gets cold

OP: I'm pretty sure you might have warm hands or something so they feel cold. Or they cooled down at night and haven't warmed up yet. When DC added cooling, it was never supposed to go below the ambient temperature :P
