Ive seen guys on here talking bout 0 guage welding cable is cheaper than 0 guage power wire, is this true and were to buy.

Welding cable adheres to a standard that audio wire does not and can vary wildly from company to company and then couple the OFC vs CCF and sizes can really drastically change.

Welding wire is always OFC so that is one thing you might want to consider when choosing wire.

only problem with welding wire is it dont like the heat and tends to melt/expose over time in engine compartment if near HOT things

so you want to make sure you use a heat resistant sheath

I'm using 2/0 welding cable front to back for my power and ground but plan on switching to a good normal cable. Welding cable works but is very stiff and is still around the $3 a foot mark of a good 1/0 cable.

Trystar welding cable can take heat a hell of a lot better than knu ofc. when I solder and the wire gets hot the welding cable takes the flame and heat better than knu
