Hugh G. Rection
Lookin Good Bossman. Still makes me laugh though that with all the tools and shit that you have in the shop, you still havent bought a good drill press yet lol i thought about it but i didn't feel like going and buying it....plus, i have never tapped holes with a drill press, always by hand. Can it even be done on a drill press? I know you can do the holes, duhhh but what about tapping the threads? yes, you can tap holes with a drill press. we have 2 drill presses where i work that are set up for tapping. in some of the thinner materials i can tap over 1,000 holes an hour. this is what you would need... http://www1.mscdirec...d+Tapping+Heads for those prices, i think i will stick to doing it by hand LOL. Aluminum is soft so it wasn't really that difficult. Just time consuming with that many also, how thin is the metal that you can tap 1000 holes in an hour? that's 17 per minute. If you could actually do that many per hour, i would give you a raise for sure (if i was the boss). That number is dogging on a CNC machine so you must be superman LOL 14ga steel, 7 parts stacked on top of each other, so 7 holes in one shot.
