Lexus IS-F Sound System install - Custom SMD VM-1/OM-1/TM-1f Dash Piece (update page 71)

Good thing you have a lift right? Looks like everything in the engine bay it a little tight; even without the cover on there.

With the battery wires and the hint of blue on the F logo and even the oil cap everything matches and flows nicely!

tight is an understatement lol ....the V8 shoved in an IS250 sized engine bay does not mean i got extra space LOL!

Practice, the dudes been doing this for a little bit.

Same thing would happen to me until I started wrapping a small strip of aluminum foil where the wire jacket and terminal meet. It kept the solder in and made things a lot easier. Also it melted the jacket to the terminal making a nice seal.

Is there an alt up grade coming with this build?

he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:

Ok, I went back through and am still confused on a certain thing. With the 3.sixty pod, how do you keep it from falling? I know a good base mold is strong, but I dont see any mounting tabs etc.

Could you explain how the pod will stay secure on the deck lid?

Oh, and I hate you for how awesome this build is, lol! Great work bro!
