Got my projectors today...Need help with Low Beams

Recommended Posts

OK like the title says...I got the projectors for my expedition today and it came with four wires (per projector) two are red, two are white. I know they're there for a reason but I don't know why. My factory headlamps did not have this. I tried installing my HIDs into the low beams and they don't turn on at all. Turn signals work and so do my High beams but the low beam doesn't work.

All the instructions say is:

Connect the black line (no black line!) to the negative electrode of the park/signal/side marker lamp

Connect the red line to the positive electrode of the park/signal/side marker lamp

Anybody ever done this or under stand?

Sister took my camera for vacation >:( I would of thought it would but the wires are way too small for me to ground some where...instructions don't even make sense...I'll see if I can borrow a camera tomorrow.

I have an 05 expedition and these are the lights20k4odk.jpg

got a pic of the HID kit? Both my tahoe and my civic have 7000k HID kits so i do know a little somethin' about them.  IF you dont have a pic, you have a link to the model?  Also i hope you know how to use relays, i use them even on the "plug and play" setup because thats never the case.  My Tahoe was blowing fuses like mad until i did that.

Not sure bout yours but, Here's how I had to ghetto wire mine. The whites were wired together for the ground and the other 2 were tapped into the high and low. Double check, but on my X on the 3 prong plug, the ground was in the middle and the low beamand high beams were the other 2. A little work with a meter and your good to go.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)

This is what some guy said that has an older expedition with older projectors (not exactly same as mine)

You need to tap the turn/parking light wires for + and - . A plastic wire tap works best. That makes the leds work when you have the parking lights on or full headlights.

The main headlight simple plugs into the stock headlight connector. The silly 2 other wires are not needed, I just cut them off but I guess you could just tuck them in.

They are plug & play...They are more of a blue color 9500K...they change though depending on which way your looking at them...

Ballast is already wired...Like I said they don't turn on with the projectors but they turn on right away with the factory lamps.

I forgot to mention that the headlamps has a wire (blue) coming out of it that we tested and it came back as being +

Holy shit lol last night sucked...I had to drive home from work with my High beams :o Not too many people liked it and I also took the long way hoping I would run into less people which I did but still there were a lot :-[

Hopefully the shop can help me out really quick before I go in to work again at 12
