roblos416
I have connected this hifonics amp to my kickers with the level at 2.5 v , bass on amp at the 12o clock position and wired in parallel for a 1 ohm reading. I have the bass knob connected as well so since I'm breaking the subs in I usually have the knob at half way so 25% on the amp since the knob is just a cut off.my concern is last night I turned up the knob on full so 50% bass on the amp and played this low bass song, it was loud but smelled a little so I turned it down and changed the song and it was fine after. I know cvx subs are 750 rms each so should I be worried about blowing the subs at half bass on my amp?

roblos416
Is it because of clipping or just overpowering the subs?

roblos416
So just adjust the bass on the amp to the right punch and don't turn up the volume on my hu or what would be some good suggestions to avoid clipping and burning my subs?
