8ight
Look at this, it is comparable to a Shuriken BT35: http://www.batterymart.com/p-12v-35ah-sealed-lead-acid-battery-insert-terminal.html Why do people pay out the ass for name-brand batteries? These work just fine, and you can buy two for the price of one with a cool XS/Kinetic/Shuriken sticker on it. Almost all of Kinetik's line consists of rebranded Universal Battery products. The Kinetik racing battery, I believe, is a PowerSonic flame retardant battery. I'm gonna hate

8ight
Universal Battery makes like every damned battery on the planet. I am running two Powersonic 35ah batts (because I think they look better than the UBs) and my system hits harder than ever and my lights don't dim. I hang solid at 14.1v (alt set-point). Pro7
There are a lot of threads on the forum that goes over the differences, but I will give you the short and sweet answer. Virgin lead with lead-tin technology. Lead-tin technology allows us to use much thinner plates, which also allows us to put more lead into the battery. The thinner the plates the faster the battery can recover when the load is off of the battery. Also we use larger and high quality inter-cell connectors (the busing system that connects the cells together), which allows the discharge rate to be faster. So in short it is the higher quality internals that are used that really makes the difference. bass_stalker
looks like those are probobly cheaper because they are sealed lead acid where as the xspower batteries are sealed agm gel batteries, now i dont know if that would affect the price or not.
