MrSkippyJ
all of my damn tape keeps melting . i swear i have to re tape it at least twice a day if i turn it up loud. Please keep it turned down until you fix it. For the sake of your car. You mean keep it turned off. As a matter of fact, keep any power unhooked until you do it the right way. You might not want to go without bass but what are you going to do when you burn your car to the ground? SnowDrifter
Holy fuck. Count your blessings that you haven't had a car fire yet. Do what Skippy said and unhook the battery. Don't use anything until it's fixed. Did you even use a fuse in your entire system? Rip everything out and start over IMHO. There are way too many things to point out and fix, so your best bet would be to start from scratch. Where are you located? I'm sure one of us could help you get this done right. ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Junior Russell
seriously dude listen to them theyre trying to help you it took me melting my ground wire before i listened to them and busted my ass to do it right instead of just pushing it off...first off do what skippy said unhook everything if thats your only car then get a ride call a taxi car pool something....second i may not be the best or have the best but i learned a few things recently fuses and distro blocks are your friends....as for splicing your ground together, thats a no no the closest thing to a splice you should do is a distro block or a bus bar... also not trying to be a dick but if you melt one betterys terminals thaat doesnt mean hook it up to your other battery, that means theres something wrong...also just my opinion someone correct me if im wrong but dont change from 1/0 to 4 awg or visa versa one wire or the other (usually the smaller) will heat up because its trying to either push or pull more power than can be handled by the smaller wre http://www.youtube.c...e1?feature=mheehttp://www.stevemead...87#entry1993187 JVC KD-R530 head unit VVME INNO-D1500 sub amp Kenwood KAC-8402 amplifierPioneer 2-way 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohms DTI Audio 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohmsbox: 4.24 ft^3 tuned to 61 hertz (port walls fell off and dissapeared )
