warm pos batt terminal

Recommended Posts

I turned on my boom boom This morning for my ride to work and it sounded like my subs were toast !!

They still played but they did not sound good and I could not crank it up to the max.

When I arrived at work I checked my fuses and realized that the positive skew on (gm Style) lead on my optima batt was melted off and my power wires were not connected to anything.

I figured that was my problem..

Long story short.

I decided it would be a good time to run my 0ga from the batt i have in the cab of my car rather than From the batt under the hood.

I shortened my run by more than 3ft.

Turned it on and it bumped harder than ever. Im thinking its due to the shorter run.

Either way my pos lead from the batt in the cab seemed to get a bit warm after playing for a few min.

I just dont want my batt to melt when its in the cab. seems like it would be a bit dangerous.

Im not sure how to keep my electrical running cool...

Help!
