IndianaBassHead
What's up everybody? Ive got a 2003 Tahoe with two aq hdc3 18s walled behind the second row seat. Behind the box I am build a battery box and was planning to mount the amp on top. The amp is a brand new crescendo 3500. Question is, will it get too hot back there since there is no ventillation? It has room to breathe but nowhere for the hot air to go. And I'm not sure how warm these amps get. And there's really no where else for me to put the amp. Thanks! IndianaBassHead
Lol idk if I trust myself tapping into my ac. I thought about fans but how would I power them? Dangrebel
Use the power from your batts and just run a switch, what ohm load are you running at 1 ohm it will be fine! Junior Russell
the easiest way to power the fans that ive seen is simply tap into the amps remote Edited May 24, 2012 by Junior Russell Quote http://www.youtube.c...e1?feature=mheehttp://www.stevemead...87#entry1993187 JVC KD-R530 head unit VVME INNO-D1500 sub amp Kenwood KAC-8402 amplifierPioneer 2-way 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohms DTI Audio 6.5 X2 @ 4 ohmsbox: 4.24 ft^3 tuned to 61 hertz (port walls fell off and dissapeared )
Kyblack76
Ehhh... Regarding the fans, I'd use a switch and a relay.. But to each their own... With the amp,.. How is it going to be wired?.... Either which way, I have faith it'll be just fine. Quote SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
SmallTruk
the easiest way to power the fans that ive seen is simply tap into the amps remote to trigger a relay that the fans are powered by. Fixed so he don't fry shit. But the fan won't do much if there is no cool air being supplied to the area. All the fan will do is blow the hot air around once the amp gets warm and the rear is closed up. Just run some kinda flex hose from a rear AC vent and have it be dedicated to cooling the amp. IndianaBassHead
the amp will be running at one ohm. But I'd like to be sure it won't get too hot on 100 degree days. as far as the ac, at the time it doesn't work. going to recharge it asap. but that would mean taking out the whole headliner and running a tube to the back? I've never done any type of a/c work.
