When you are running multiple subs and want an easy quick way to change ohm load when competing bolts out the side of the box is the way to go. The op is referencing competing I imagine since he was just at a show and ran thru the lanes. Just my 2 cents.

I use brass bolts, my black truck did 160s enough said lol

And OP I talked to you at Midwest show on Springfield I had the white truck there that did 153.9 off 5k power and that box has brass bolts too.

I remember, sweet and nice job.

Im not hating on the brass bolts, Im just trying to use the most conductive material, and keep the install looking really clean, an interesting test would be to switch to solid copper bolts and see if your numbers go up any, in a position where it seems every little thing counts, it wouldnt surprise me.

yea, that run was for fun, to donate money, and to get an idea where i'm at I was using my trusty 6 year old eclipse TI 15" with a super loose suspension from the years,

, my new equipment I ordered a month ago will be here tuesday, and my enclosure will be done no later than wednesday. (as long as I dont get lazy) I hit 4th in my class by 0.2 db with a factory head unit playing a youtube video from my phone. Since my class was music only, i was not sure what to play,

But yea, so on my way to ACE

LOL at people talking about which bolt has more resistance.

You are talking about 1 inch of metal, which has less resistance than your entire run of speaker wire to be honest.

It's not a big deal.

we're talking .0001 ohms of resistance.
