Wiring an Aftermarket Headunit, SOLVED (with a factory amp)

Recommended Posts

your factory amp has the wiring schematic on it, just like the radio does. i retained onstar so i modified an OS4, the LAN connection isnt the same as a regular GM so it required some troubleshooting to get it to work

Solved BTW, easier than i thought it would be, but now i have some random distortion had volumes above halfway. I made a post about it in mids and highs.

I think i pinched a wire somehow because it happened on a cold start after i shoved a box in my trunk.

Its not the After market HU or the wire harness going into it.

I tested the stock one and the same thing happened.

I can fade it to the front and it goes away, so it must be something to do with the rear.

This is what happens when you use a factory amp and speakers...

so when i faded to the rear and the right at the same time. the speaker sounds like ass.

disconnected it, and i can fade to the rear with no distortion. Weird how one speaker made the 6 other ones distort?

anyways, i can listen to it now full tilt =]
