keatonwake Posted May 28, 2012 Report Share Posted May 28, 2012 I just recently bought a 2001 sierra 1500 extra cab and the entire sound system is stock, i already know what i want for amps, speakers and subs but i still haven't decided on the deck. I know that the mounting space for a deck on the 01 can only fit a single din but I've heard that its not that hard to modify the dash to fit a double. i would really like to be able to fit a double din in so if anyone has done it or has some tips please post a reply.
