I did that, got a 1080p 15.6" monitor, 8GB ram, 7200RPM HDD, 2.7 intel core i7 2gb Radeon GFX card, and a fingerprint scanner which is baller. Was 1400 but with a coupon that I found off of a google search for HP Coupons, I got it down to 1k flat. Edit: mine was the Pavillion DV6, which is the 15.6in monitor, the DV7 is the 17.3 monitor. I must say, a 15.6" monitor at 1920x1080 is awesome. That size may seem small, but its not at all. works just great. Also been looking at some msi platforms and they seem rock solid. asus is up there too especially since they have the zbd policy so i dont gotta worry about the screen. My buddy has a hp dv7 and his over heats easily and was full of bloatware. Will keep you guys updated on what i get. will most likly order tonight after work.
