audiofanaticz
It's fluke its good not always true.. Dunno if Im the only one, but I cant stand a fluke clamp meter that does not have the min/max auto hold and average feature... stick with my craftsman profesionall or sperry. Than at least I can clamp amps or alts with 1 person, not having to have a 2nd person to watch for the max numbers, or push the hold button. Also just noticed that fluke 322 DOES NOT clamp DC Current, so no testing how much current draw the amp is using, or how much current draw thru your wires for properly fusing, or even telling how much amperage your alternator is making. IMO JUNK like said. fluke does not alway mean its the best... but hey, thats what you get for listening to an uneducated users answer.

audiofanaticz
Is this the one your talking about http://www.sears.com.../p-03473756000P Yes, that is the one I use. I have tested it against a fluke 337 a year or so ago, and it read 3 amps less or so testing alternators. Nothing major in 1/3rd the cost imo. Plus it does auto peak/min/avg hold, does ac and dc voltage and current up to 800amps. and can be bought slightly used or new on ebay for 60-75bucks usually Also just used it against a older fluke clamp forget the model, a 322, and mine craftsman profesional. the craftsman professional took a a second longer to read the current, it was not as instant as the fluke, but at the end of the test in Andrew Marshalls dirty lincoln with christopher russ on the Sundown NS-1 all 3 clamps read the same amperage draw with in a tenth of an amp of each other. The Sperrys are also great units too.
