Second Skin Audio

Bang for buck, 15" or 18" sub

Recommended Posts

Go with what punkrock said, the obsidians are wicked cheap and I've heard pretty good reviews on them the 18'' is 190 and the 15'' is 160. So you really cant go wrong for that price.

I thought I was going to die from all the jizz filling my ears.

stinkin motor is almost too small to mount to the frame! no way i'd pay that for that sub. much better stuff out there. I'd compare that sub, size wise, to the obsidian 18 which is half the price (much better deal imo)

Edit: btw, if you're set on spending that much on a sub, http://audioque.com look at the hdc3's. rating of 1k but take MUCH more daily.

i think that i might just buy 2 of these, i dont wanna wait 3 more months to get something that could very well end up not impressing me, might as well try with some cheap ones

http://www.sonicelec...-ZRX15SQD4.html

the wait on those would be no different than the ones i linked. and instead of potentially being unimpressed (you won't be) you'll be sure to be unimpressed (those subs you linked SUCK)

I wouldn't even buy those for 50 a piece..

newb, all the subs you're listing are complete trash essentially. just go with an obsidian or something.

there really arent any "good" woofers out there that are cheap enough to be within that $200 range and are 18's.

cause if you have the space for 18's, why the hell would the company want to put a 500w motor on the basket when you can fit a more powerful sub?

you could do a fi ssd 18 if you wanted. 1000w
