1996BLKBauer
Is it OK, and more importantly safe for me to be running 2 amps off of one remote turn on wire? I will just run the one wire to the back, and then split it into 2 wires, one for each amp. So is it OK that I do this, or should I try something else. 1996 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V8 AWD So far with the Ford/JBL Stock Stereo system, Alpine System coming soon. tacomaguy1
I've been doing it for a few years now...been ok. Not ideal tho, I think anything over that you want a relay Team Flex Issues
1996BLKBauer
I'm not running anything excessive, I have a Alpine CDE-HD137BT HU, a Alpine MRP-M500 Sub amp, and a Sony XM-4045 Mids and Highs amp. I may run it temporary for a few months until I can afford some other upgrade I know I will want like a volt meter, dampening, and now a relay. 1996 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer V8 AWD So far with the Ford/JBL Stock Stereo system, Alpine System coming soon. Ballen194
I believe the remote input on most amps requires such a small amount of juice that it's possible to run some like 10 amplifiers off one remote wire? 98 Isuzu Rodeo Pioneer Deh-6300ub SUBS*Upcoming* SSA Xcon 18 4th order AMP Banda 3500 Mids/Highs Pioneer EQ Clarion EQS746 ETC. Sanitarium
just jump from one amp to the other. there's no need to even entertain the idea of a relay with just 2 amps.

Edit: as stated above one of these really is overkill for 2 amps but FYI one of these relays will turn on 5 to 6 dozen amplifiers. 98 Isuzu Rodeo Pioneer Deh-6300ub SUBS*Upcoming* SSA Xcon 18 4th order AMP Banda 3500 Mids/Highs Pioneer EQ Clarion EQS746 ETC.
