Guest
does the back HAVE to be slanted?
Cazz
If the dimensions are bottom depth 36 and top depth 28 then yes if the dimensions are just depth 28 then no, if the depth is just 28 then I will have room behind the box to put a Amp so either I don't mind which ever is easier. Guest
im no fantastic box designer, but this seems to work. 5" pvc ports. you'd have to get some pvc U tubes to bend the ports inside the box. or make the ports slightly external, which will affect the box size/tuning numbers slightly. i forgot to delete the 3 in # of common port walls. that only applies to slot ports, not circle ports. having that number there doesn't affect anything. edit: i'd probably put a second baffle on it, just to keep the flex down. those little guys are pretty beeft Edited June 27, 2012 by Kranny
Cazz
well I don't know what a Second Baffle is so maybe instead of that we could drop the height down a bit more rather then have it 1 inch from the top, I was thinking more 4 inches from the top so it has clear room. If you could design a box and maybe sketch it out on Google Sketch Up and send me the dimensions then I can be sure I will have a good box and not need to worry if its wrong. Cazz
Oh well my dad said he's going to make it Recessed so that will act similar to a Second Baffle?
Guest
yeah some people make the lower/first baffle sub cutouts like normal so that the sub sits normally. then the second baffle will have a slightly larger cutout that will make the sub appear flush. like this
